||ISOLATING FLANGES WITH
TANTALUM TIPPED INSERTS GROUND-OUT
Collins manufactures a line of isolating grounding flanges that are equipped
with a metal insert whose tip contacts the flowing medium and allows the
user to ground out unwanted signals.
They are usually used with lined pipe where a grounding device is required
as, for instance with magnetic flow meters. Typically installed in the
pipeline before and after each flow meter, the flanges allow the user to
ground-out unwanted signals that may be contained in the fluid and cause
inaccuracies in the flow meter's readings.
The flanges are available in either Polypropylene or PVDF (Kynar*), and
sizes range from 1/4" to 36" and in-stock sizes up to 6". They are also
available in both 150# and 300# ANSI ratings.
Each isolating flange is equipped with a metal insert whose tip contacts the
flowing medium. Our 1" thick flanges are equipped with a Monel* insert; the
wetted portion of this insert in tipped
in Tantalum. Other flange inserts can be custom-tipped with exotic metals
such as Hastelloy* B & C, Titanium, Zirconium, Monel and Platinum.
Collins maintains Kynar isolating flanges in 150# ANSI type with Tantalum
inserts in stock up to 6". Other sizes are available up to 36" in 2-3 weeks
after receipt of order.
